Susan, featured guest artist, portrayed Mama Thelma Cates in Bethany College's production of the Pulitzer Prize winner, "'night, Mother", directed by Laura Hardt, to rave reviews:
"(This play) featured two fine actresses at the top of their respective games. (The daughter) held her own opposite the always-superb Stepputtis. Stepputtis' performance as Thelma, the mother, was a master class in acting. Stepputtis took her character to the edge, but never went over that edge into melodrama. Instead, she found multiple layers to a character that could have been reduced to a caricature in the hands of a lesser actress."
